In this version of Quark (8), I've had issues writing pdf files that will allow me to adjust settings in Adobe Distiller. For instance, in older versions of quark, I could write my postscript, then in Distiller create the desired size and quality of my end pdf file. I could set Press Quality for very tight images, or Smallest File Size for web previewing, etc. Now, with this version, no matter what my settings in Distiller are, the end result is a Press Quality file... that are usually way too large to email 60megs or higher at times for basic files. Although in Distiller, I'll edit the settings - it doesn't work. No matter which way or however I adjust in Distiller, end result is exactly the same. It seems this only happens with Quark files as my other softwares don't have this problem - any thoughts or solutions?
