By chance are you running an add-on from a third party that does this?
Or loaded a must-have customization from a friend/buddy/cad manager/guru that you cannot live without and it does this as you close the file? Ask around.
The methods to kill it in AutoCAD were in my first reply, and it appears you confirmed those settings are off thankfully: so it's not the app but an added function running is my guess.
