One of it’s quirks is it doesn’t add wire junctions automatically like other CAD software does, you have to do it manually, not really a show stopper but kind of annoying since I’m used to having it done for me, maybe I’m just spoiled.
Also when you move a module in the PCB editor you have to click on the “ratsnest ” button afterwards to update the wire connections. If you forget to do this you’ll end up with with a badly routed board especially if you use the Autorouter. So remember, click the “Ratsnest” button after moving any modules.
The Autorouter in Eagle is ok, but not great, then again most Autorouters are just ok, Most people manually route their boards anyway. For small boards the Autorouter is acceptable, but a bit lacking IMO.
The biggest gripe I have with Eagle is it’s not very intuitive especially the library/module editor. Also there isn’t any gerber file viewer that comes with Eagle you have to download one of the free ones. After you generate the NetList in EESchema you start CVpcb by clicking it’s button in the editor. Your then greeted with CVpcb.
