Random-Access Memory or RAM as it’s more commonly known is a vital part of any mini notebook . You hear more and more these days that if your computer is running slow you should upgrade your RAM. While mini laptops use the same type of RAM as other standard notebooks and laptops, there are a few things you need to keep in mind before attempting to upgrade your RAM. Below we’ll look at a few of those and make some recommendations to make sure you don’t waste time or money in the process.
How much RAM do mini notebooks come with? When they first came out it was very typical to see a brand new mini laptop with 512MB of RAM. Almost all of the 7-inch models and most 9-inch models came standard with this amount and you had the option to upgrade to either 1GB or 2GB of RAM. As time has gone on and the mini laptop computer has evolved, manufacturers have started to release them with 1GB as the new standard. Most also offer an upgrade to 2GB, but not to many come standard with 2 GB While writing this I could not find a mini notebook, which offers 2 GB of updates after some investigation 'more, seems to be a limitation of the motherboard. The motherboard is the main system that runs on laptops. I really hope to start the release of the models in future which may, unless more than 2 GB of RAM. I've always been lucky with the increased speed of my computer with a basic upgrade of RAM.
