The first service pack (patch) for WordPerfect Office X5 (WPO X5) was released earlier this month.
The patch, which can be applied to the Standard, Professional, Home & Student, and Try-Before-You-Buy editions of WPO X5, enhances the stability of the programs in the WPO suite; increases their compatibility with Microsoft Office; and — to the relief of many long-time WordPerfect users — restores the generic “File Open” format (i.e., so that the Open File dialog is set to display all files, rather than just WordPerfect [.wpd format] files). There is one patch available for English-language versions and another for French-language versions.
