The intention of this forum is not to replace a company's IT department, nor can we anticipate alterations or configurations that may have been made to a business machine, or how it will interact with the tools commonly used in the removal of malware. If you're a small company without an IT department, outside help is often contracted for maintaining a company's machines. My main concern is not that we can't clean the machine, but that due to the nature of it's use, it can't really be trusted in the future. A wipe and new MBR will ensure the security of the customers and company. The symptoms you describe fit the infection I do see, but the empty sections of the logs suggest there may be other things on the machine we can't see, even with the rootkit scan log we have.
