Once you download and install it, anything that can be printed can be saved as a pdf. You just go to your file>print, and in the dialog box select PDF or Save As PDF, and it will convert your file to a pdf and I think it puts it on the desktop for you. (You may also be able to tell it where to save the PDF). It works really well.
