Hi friends, I have been using ubuntu and backtrack contiinuosly for 3 months. I got to know that linux os has everything like windows or we can say more then windows. So the question comes why we are using windows. You spend thousands of rupees or dollars in buying windows after that MS Office, after that CD burning softwares, Antivirus suite, Archieve extracting softwares, Video players and others. I used openoffice(free open source software) and it has all features that you find in MS Office or other word & spreadsheet processers. It has a word processer, spreadsheet processor and presentation. The main problem with using this software is the format of documents. Here is a simple example- I was using office 10 and i made a resume in docx format. I send it to 10 to 12 people and i got their reply "pls send in word format" docs is not a word format , Yes its in word format but they are still using office 03 that doesn't support docs.
