Good morning,
One of my clients in the medical field has been asked at what level
of security PDFs created with Mac OS 10.4.11 are saved at. A search
of Google, Adobe and Apple has not yielded any answers.
When requested, does the Mac OS create a secure PDF that is
passworded only or encrypted? If encrypted, is it a 40-bit or 128-bit
key? Or something else?
Same questions for Adobe Acrobat for Mac, latest version. Basically,
what levels of security can Acrobat save PDFs at?
References would be appreciated.
Thank you

The next PDF you open may be your last So why hasn't word gotten out? Why hasn't Adobe fixed this issue? Well, they try, but the structure of the PDF format itself makes it hard to secure. |
