reinstalling windows xp home edition when you have a dlink ...

Hi a friend asked me some questions and i was not sure what to tell her so thought i would ask on here. Her computer seems to be slow on start up and when she loads a page. She does her history cleanup and antivirus-spyware scan everyday. She also runs disc defragmenter every 2 weeks or so. What she asked me since she knows how to do a reinstall with doing it before about 2yrs ago-but now she has changed to AOL for internet provider and has a dlink for a second compter- what she wanted to know is if she does a reinstall will she have to reinstall the software for her dlink,AOL and antivirus program-before she used free antivirus spyware so knew just do download it again-She also uses Ccleaner once a week-She has had her pc almost 6yrs and has done a reinstall about 4 times - Any advice or help on what to do or try would be grately appriciated.
