I have no idea what ("generically" speaking), I'm supposed to know about which programs should or shouldn't run on a 64 bit system. For example I still use version 3 of PE. Among the many concerns, will this run on a 64bit computer? If it does, is there any advantage to running on a 64bit computer. Hmm, come to think of it, what the heck is a 64bit computer? LOL Any enlightenment would be appreciated. I feel like I'm starting all over from scratch understanding all these components. I refuse to buy a pre-built PC since from what I've seen, unless you spend a zillion dollars, you get the cheapo motherboard, with integral video, and regardless of what you spend, you still get a ton of unwanted bloatware to boot, and the copy of your OS discs you get (if you're lucky) are also set up to reinstall all the junk software. I don't believe I need state of the art, but I can see perhaps high def video editing being something I may do now and again in a year or two, so I'd like this...
