Running Windows 7 Premium, 64 Bit on an HP G71-340US Notebook
Installed Windows Mobile Device Center, 64 Bit Version
Samsung SCH-920 Device having latest Widows Updates: CE OS 5.2.21889 (Build 21889.5.0.87)
Symptom: Clean install of WMDC and Restarting SCH-920. Device connects and syncs with HP Notebook. Upon reboot of the HP the SCH-920 will reconnect via WMDC however it will not sync. Produces a sync error message in WMDC. Should the HP device just be left in sleep mode the symptom does not happen; devices sync flawlessly.
Procedure: Need to uninstall WMDC from the HP Notebook and restart the Samsung SCH-920 Device. Then the devices will again sync until the HP again requires shutdown.
Additional: Shutting down AV and Firewall have absolutely no effect on symptoms. Trying WMDC 32 Bit on another (Home Built - ASUS M/B) with Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit O/S exhibits similar failure in sync between WMDC and the SCH-920.
Question: Is there a probable way not to have to go through total removal and reinstall of WMDC on the devices to have it function and/or does Microsoft consider this mode-du-emploe' as per design? Is Microsoft considering an update or revision of WMDC in the future to make it more compatible? TIA!
