After receiving and installing my copy of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 since its release, has been an activated and genuine copy until now. Just last night, I received a notification that in fact my copy of Windows (Build 7600) is not genuine and informed me that I have to drop $200 to get another copy. The notification led me to Microsoft's site which I downloaded something to help repair the issue, but I am still left with an allegedly non-genuine copy of windows 7. In no way, shape or form am I going to pay the bastards and Microsoft $200, which is why I am now by downloading a pre-activated copy of Windows 7 which is probably what I should of done in the first place. The reason why I didn't have any of the original packaging was because since I actually bought the OS, I doubted that I might have any issues regarding legitimacy, unlike of that of a pirated copy.
