You could install a lite linux distro on it like Lubuntu (the Lxde variant) rather easy and it won’t get viruses and it gets updates. Easier to install than any version of windows and no need to install any drivers. People can pick up on this fairly easily. I taught my 60 year old father in law how to use it in a day and he picked it right up. It runs alot like windows. You login (you can make it auto login at startup at install instead if you want), and you have your little start menu and google chrome browser right there, wifi starts up, all that. No viruses, easier to install, and it has updates
Perfect for parents/grandparents who just surf the net all day and check their emails. http://lubuntu.net/
