So far I'm getting used to Office 2010. Sure, the programs take longer to load than their 2003 versions, but on modern hardware it isn't that noticable.
In Word 2010 is it possible to get it to start-up in Backstage mode rather than a blank document? I spend more time editing or viewing existing documents than creating new ones and I liked 2003's Getting Started pane which gave me 1-click access to my MRU, whereas in 2010 I have to click around.
I like the consistent brought into Outlook 2010 with the ribbon, but I feel the folder list down the left side needs more contrast: black on white is a lot easier to read than dark blue on light blue. Is there also a way to get it to stop re-ordering the folders? I prefer them sorted alphabetically and not with Inbox at the top.
Finally, Outlook 2010's calendar needs less clutter. I prefer 2003's calendar because all the days are simple squares with appointments listed with no messy lines and gradients filled in with no seeming reason. Is there a way to bring back that style of display?
