I know, I know, I should be able to write poetry and a novel at the same time. Given that I had to be in Toronto for the last week for tests it was difficult, as I’m sure you’ve noticed for me to keep up my usual pace of prose.
That being said, I am within a thousand words of finishing my first NaNoWriMo offering entitled An Irish Brogue. It is an intergenerational look at the rise of the Irish Republican Army from the Easter Uprising to the Good Friday Agreement through the Cathasaigh family.
I’ve decided to really push myself through this NaNoWriMo and I have started work on my second novel which is tentatively entitled The Odessa Generation which is also to be a historical fiction.
So, I will get some prose done this week I promise. And once NaNoWriMo is over I will be back to my regular prolific self.
Thank you all for your continued love and support. I feel honoured by your continued reading and participation in this my most of difficult years of my life.
