One of two things, either you are not specifying .pdf as the file extension when you save the file, you can just rename it if that’s the problem. If that’s not it, right click on the file and select “Open with…” and select the Adobe reader program. If that opens it correctly, the problem is your computer has associated .pdf files with wordpad instead of adobe. Follow the Windows help instruction for your version to reassociate Adobe as your default program for .pdf files.
