Hello! I am upgrading a windows xp am2 machine to a windows 7 am3. I plan on taking my current hard drive out and placing it in the new 7 machine as a slave only. The old xp machine will then get a new hard drive, but have the same xp key installed. I don't want to format my old drive as it is quite large and quite full so I plan on leaving xp installed on it. I don't plan on ever booting from it, just using it for storage. so my question is- could leaving xp installed on a slave drive with a new build ever cause an issue?
